This village is residency of Okcheon Jeon Clan, settled by 10th generation Heecheol at Yeongju area where his wife's family lived, when Joseon King Danjong(1455) has resigned. Currently his great grandson Eungsam(pen name: Chilisu) and his son Sinheon(pen name: Songwoldang)'s descendents resides. The town was remodeled by Ueom Jeon Gyubyeong(1840-1905, the 25th generation) in 1866 when he passed the national exam in Joseon King Injo era. There are houses called Nojae Historic House(currently Musuchon Historic House) resided by Ueom's the third son, Mansanjae(Ueomgong's the fourth son resided) and Chilijeong Pavilion, Songwoldang House in town. This is the village with the traditional cultural heritage where you can feel the neat and moderated life of Seonbi(Confucian Scholars) in the late Joseon Dynasty, stayed collaborated with nature also lived life with courage. Nojae Historic House(Musuchon Historic House) and Mansanjae is currently famous for its traditional bean paste making facility, operated by Ueomgong's great grandson's wife.
